Summer Fete 2019

Saturday 29 June 2019

Our annual summer fete was again blessed with good weather this year and attracted lots of people to the event. Around 500 plus people came and went throughout the afternoon of Saturday 29 June, and around 100 visitors ventured inside the church, truly exceptional.

This year saw a few changes and welcomed new attractions such as the rock band Savannah, the Vintage Tea Rooms, the Double Decker bus, and two bouncy castles.

Our individual stallholders all did a remarkable job entertaining our visitors in the searing heat.

As well as being a major fundraising event for our church, the fete is also an opportunity for our wider community to engage with us. There have been many positive comments from our parishioners, saying “what a lovely atmosphere the fete created”, “the best free show in town”, “a truly traditional Fete with volunteers and not professional stall holders”, and “an event that people look forward to attending and supporting each year”.
